By Daniel Golshevsky (Dr Golly)
Dr Golly's Guide to Family Illness is a comprehensive, accessible and reassuring guide to general children’s health and daycare illnesses: from common colds to ear infections.
Dr Daniel Golshevsky – also known as Dr Golly – is a paediatrician and father of three who knows first-hand how exhausting and overwhelming all the rashes, coughs and sniffles of childhood can be. He’s here to help you learn when to be worried, how to recognise symptoms and, most importantly, what to do next and when to seek help.
As children move around the community, it’s inevitable they’ll pick up a few bugs or lurgies on the way. This resource is your go-to guide, helping you navigate through many of the most common illnesses, basic management plans and more importantly, how to identify severe illness when you may need more support. With a focus on understanding that sickness is inevitable, Dr Golly can teach us how to minimise and manage these illnesses to get your child better, sooner.
Dr Golly's Guide to Family Illness covers EVERYTHING you need to know:
No-one knows your child like you do. Dr Golly reminds parents that this book does not replace medical care. If you suspect something isn’t right, trust your parental instincts and contact a healthcare professional
