Studio Ghibli is a Tokyo-based animation film studio founded in 1985 by directors Isao Takahata and Hayao Miyazaki. The studio has produced several short films, television commercials, one television film, and over twenty feature-length films, many of which have garnered numerous awards and critical acclaim, including My Neighbour Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service, Princess Mononoke, and the Academy Award-winner Spirited Away. Their last four films, The Wind Rises (2013), The Tale of Princess Kaguya (2013), When Marnie Was There (2014), and The Red Turtle (2016) were all nominated for Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature Film.
