Her bags, such as the iconic 2.55, which was first introduced in February 1955 and is still considered one of the most coveted handbags in the world, are not only a fashion object, but also a symbol of timeless elegance and practical luxury. The Boy Bag and the Classic Flap (11.12) are also among the most popular models. These bags not only characterize modern street style, they also reflect the history of Chanel. In The Ultimate Guide to Chanel Bags, the named classics are presented, but the it-bags, special editions and the artistic minaudieres are not neglected either. Author Alexandra Fullerton, who worked as a fashion director for renowned magazines for many years, uses her expert knowledge and passion for fashion and style to guide readers through the fascinating world of Chanel bags and explains how the models became icons in pop culture - in films, on the red carpet and in the fashion world. She also looks at the exquisite craftsmanship behind the artful handbags and discusses the importance of authenticity in the vintage and pre-loved bag universe.

About the author
Originally from Essex and a long-time London resident, Alexandra Fullerton now lives in a small village in Norfolk—a move inspired by the pandemic’s call for a more rural lifestyle. She shares her home with her husband, daughter, a long-haired Chihuahua named Ozzie, and a rabbit named Nibbles. Alex spent the majority of her career working as a fashion director for magazines (including seven and a half years at *Stylist* and five years at *Glamour UK*), styling renowned actors, music icons, and celebrities such as Kylie Minogue, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Sophie Turner, Florence Welch, and Kelly Rowland. Her work has taken her around the globe for fashion shoots and front-row seats at fashion shows. Today, Alex works independently; her diverse portfolio includes writing fashion features for *The Telegraph* and *Bazaar Arabia*, commercial styling (collaborating with brands like Stella McCartney and Marks & Spencer), personal styling, ghostwriting, authoring her own books, and running the shopping platform My3Words.co. When she isn't working, Alex loves scouring local charity shops—dreaming of stumbling upon a secret stash of Hermès Birkin bags.
