Each project includes commentary by the featured architects, interior designers, landscape designers, and builders, along with behind-the-scenes stories from Lepere’s photo shoots. The book presents a range of perspectives, giving voice to the challenges and collaborations involved in creating extraordinary homes, offering readers inspiration, insider insight, and an intimate view of Santa Barbara’s most remarkable residences.
Holly Lepere is a Santa Barbara–based photographer specializing in architecture, interiors, and built landscapes. A Texas native, Lepere worked in New York City, Dallas, and Los Angeles before settling on the west coast in Santa Barbara, California. A lifelong love of built design drew her to the world of architecture and landscape, and she is now a trusted and sought-after photographer by leading architects and interior designers. Lepere’s storytelling approach captures intimate, detail-rich images that reveal the artistry, craftsmanship, and character of each project.
Holly’s work has been featured in top publications worldwide including Architectural Digest, Traditional Home, Better Homes and Gardens, Veranda, Luxe, Sunset, Gardens Illustrated, Garden Design, The Los Angeles Times, and The Wall Street Journal. She is also the photographer of The Private Gardens of Santa Barbara by Margie Grace, published by Gibbs Smith in 2020.
