About the author

When Roland Löwisch’s thesis was rejected at the end of his business studies in Hamburg with the justification "too journalistic," he knew he was on the right path. After his second successful thesis, he completed an internship at a regional newspaper. The joy of cars drove him to Auto Bild, then to STERN, and back, before he became self-employed in 2007 after positions as chief reporter and editor-in-chief. Since then, he has specialized in luxury, sports, and off-road vehicles and has written about 30 books on car brands, car adventures, and car history. In his stories for car magazines, lifestyle magazines, and professional publications, he always focuses on people and the emotions that come with them, in addition to automobiles.
